About
The third edition of the leading satellite on game theory at CCS, following two successful events at CCS 2021 in Lyon, France, and CCS 2022 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, will be held in Exeter, UK.
The satellite aims to gather together scholars belonging to different fields of complex systems who employ game-theoretical techniques in their research at both a theoretical and a more applied framework.
The AMETHYST satellite will attract researchers from the general audience of CCS 2024, from physicists and computer scientists to behavioral economists and social scientists interested in applying results from game theory to biology and human behavior. Game theory has applications in many disciplines, including statistical physics, computer science, biology, economics, finance, climate change negotiations, and sociology.
The intrinsic interdisciplinary framework of both complex systems and game theory allows researchers with different backgrounds and points of view to contribute to the satellite and find a broad set of tools that can be useful for solving recurrent problems that they face in their research areas. AMETHYST will focus on applications of complex systems and game theory to human behavior, focusing on empirical evidence and behavioral experiments.
